Position : Industrial Maintenance Technician
Location: North Charleston, SC
Length: Full time
Rate: $25-$29/hr (average 50 hours/week; overtime available)

Insight Global is seeking a Maintenance Technician to be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems that support terminals, pipelines, and storage facilities. This role ensures safe and efficient operations for the transfer, storage, and handling of bulk products and energy materials.
Key Responsibilities:
Preventive & Corrective Maintenance:
- Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment, including valves, pumps, tanks, meters, and gauges.
Equipment Installation & Calibration:
- Safely assist with installation, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of automation systems and PLCs.
Inspection & Documentation:
- Conduct periodic inspections of tanks and equipment, maintain accurate maintenance logs, and complete required reports in CMMS
Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety rules, Process Safety Management (PSM) standards, and regulatory requirements. Participate in assigned safety and operations training.
Emergency Response & ROW Patrol:
- Train to defend Kinder Morgan right-of-way, process one-call tickets, and patrol ROW to protect company assets.
Fabrication & Welding:
- Operate machine tools to fabricate parts and perform welding as needed during maintenance or overhaul.
Collaboration:
- Coordinate with Operations to minimize downtime and work cooperatively with internal teams and external contractors
Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required; technical degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Corrosion preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 1–3 years of industrial maintenance experience; familiarity with PLCs and automation systems is a plus.
Skills:
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Ability to read schematics and diagrams
- Computer proficiency for maintenance tracking and inventory
- Welding and fabrication experience preferred
Certifications:
- Valid driver’s license; ability to obtain and maintain TWIC card as required by USCG/DHS regulations.
