Pay Range: $16-$19/hr

Job Description:
The Medical Assistant is responsible for supporting clinicians in the examination, treatment, and overall care of patients. This role combines clinical and administrative responsibilities to ensure efficient, patient-centered care experience. The Medical Assistant delivers high-quality service, adheres to established protocols, and contributes to a positive clinic environment.
Primary Responsibilities
· Provide front and back-office support in accordance with CareMore Health Care Center (CCC) or Medical Group Practice workflows.
· Greet patients in a friendly, service-oriented manner to promote a welcoming environment.
· Manage patient check-in by confirming medical records/charts, updating patient information, completing necessary paperwork, and ensuring chart accuracy.
· Interview patients, obtain and record vital signs, and document the reason for visit.
· Explain procedures, support clinician examinations, perform treatments, and administer prescribed medications.
· Manage patient check-out by scheduling follow-up appointments, collecting co-payments as applicable, and ensuring all documentation is complete.
· Schedule, confirm, and adjust patient appointments while maintaining provider calendars.
· Reconcile daily co-payments and ensure proper documentation and accuracy of financial transactions.

Minimum Qualifications
· High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Medical Assistant certificate / certification from an accredited training program required.
· Bilingual (English/Spanish) may be required depending on location.
· CareMore Health: Satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test is required
