Project Manager – FBSI Architecture and Data Solutioning
Location : North Carolina, Texas, New Hampshire (Hybrid)
The Role
As a Project Manager, you are aligned to product development teams and partner with product leadership to manage the delivery of team objectives and deliver the vision of the product. You will coordinate efforts across multiple teams to deliver seamless solutions and are responsible for improving the overall effectiveness of delivery for the team. You will be accountable for advancing Delivery excellence by shaping best practices, enabling the adoption of Delivery methodologies, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The Project Manager will advise and coach others on Delivery methodologies while simultaneously coordinating impediments, risks, and interdependence across product areas. Additionally, you are accountable for release management.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion customer-centricity by integrating customer research and feedback into product strategy with product leadership
- Facilitate product visioning, hypothesis-driven strategy development, and innovation through ideation sessions
- Align product roadmaps and initiatives with business goals, KPIs, and target outcomes
- Manage scope, objectives, and deliverables through stakeholder collaboration and detailed planning
- Coordinate multi-team delivery plans, balancing short- and long-term goals with quarterly commitments
- Monitor progress, minimize context switching, and ensure backlog refinement for continuous delivery
- Drive shared accountability and ensure delivery against milestones, capacity, and business value
- Implement and refine delivery processes using empirical data and historic trends to improve predictability and efficiency
- Support engineering excellence by enforcing quality standards and managing tech debt, incidents, and change processes
- Optimize workflows and identify lifecycle-based strategy updates
- Track and report on delivery KPIs using leading and lagging indicators to inform planning and stakeholder updates
- Build strong delivery partner relationships and coordinate with business leaders for successful releases and client engagement
- Work in collaboration with the Program Manager to support MIPS Reduction Program
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- PMP Certification preferred
- 10+ years of experience in delivery-oriented roles
- Strong knowledge of Mainframes and distributed applications
- Proficient in Mainframe technologies (DB2, VSAM, COBOL, JCL, CICS)
- Acceptance Criteria – Defines clear, specific, and measurable criteria for each work item at the appropriate level of the work hierarchy (Initiative, Sub-Initiative, Epic, etc.)
